The LEVANTE sail replaces the gennaker or spinnaker due to USE IN A wider range OF WIND ANGLES.
30-35%
WIDER RANGE OF wind ANGLE
Wider wind operating range due to the gust-damping and lift-generating wing.
Side view of the wing.

70-180%
WIDER operating range in HIGHER WIND conditions
Greater operating range downwind and close to upwind due to a much flatter sail design. The wing acts as a soft batten, generating lift and keeping the luffs solid and stable.

SAIL HANDLING
THE OXLEY® "LEVANTE"
The wing profile and its position within the sail's opening make all the difference. The result is a technically simple wing that quickly sets the sail like a batten and also dampens gusts in stronger winds. The sail is constructed from up to seven different materials to optimally distribute force and is capable of withstanding extreme loads. The sailcloth used weighs a mere 44 grams per square meter and is coated with a unique water-repellent agent and a UV stabilizer for added durability. This technology and material represent the latest advancements in sail design.
THE sail for relaxed cruising
Thanks to its simpler wing profile, the wing stabilizes the sail even in extremely light winds. Combined with the large sail area in the upper section, this sail gets your boat moving even in very light winds. Furthermore, the wing also dampens gusts in stronger winds. This is particularly advantageous for boats that don't react nervously to gusts but struggle to get going in light winds. This makes the sail a versatile all-rounder and a great companion for weekend and holiday cruises. The Levante is a popular choice for long voyages if your boat remains stable in gusts or if you prefer to reduce the sail area significantly in stronger winds.
Light wind sail for long distances
Thanks to the special construction of the BORA sail, excellent performance can be achieved even in light winds. The spinnaker opening is reinforced with high-quality materials. The solid and cleanly manufactured frame allows air to flow consistently and reliably onto the wing. The self-stabilizing OXLEY® light wind sail, model BORA, is the perfect sail for long distances.
Das Segel OXLEY "BORA"
The BORA sail's opening is reinforced with a combination of Dacron, Insignia, and RipStop materials. The result is a robust and sophisticated structure that allows for a continuous airflow towards the wing. The sail is constructed from up to seven different materials to ensure optimal force distribution and the ability to withstand extreme loads. The sailcloth used weighs just 44 grams per square meter and is coated with a unique water-repellent finish and a UV stabilizer for added durability.
